What this covers

Engineering consulting is where a good idea becomes a project that can actually be priced, permitted, and built. We review the technical logic of a scheme, identify what will fail or cost more than expected, and put the reasoning in writing.

This can run alongside our own architecture work, or independently on a scheme designed by someone else. Either way the output is the same: decisions that are defensible, documented, and coordinated across the disciplines that have to agree.

    Clashes and gaps between disciplines are resolved with the parties involved, and the resolution is recorded.

    Documentation

    Findings, recommendations, and the technical basis for each are issued as a document you can act on.

Common questions

Will you review a design we did not commission from you?
Yes. Independent review is a large part of this service, and the report is written for the client, not for the original designer.
Does this replace a structural engineer?
No. We coordinate with licensed structural and MEP engineers and make sure their work is integrated, not duplicated.
Can this stop a project going over budget?
It can only help if it happens early. Reviewing before tender is where the cost savings actually live.
